Summary of Round Table Discussions

The audience organized themselves into 8 groups for the round table discussions. Each group had a moderator and a note taker. Each group was given a short time to summarize the discussion in their group.

There were 2 round table discussion topics:

  1. How to identity seniors who are isolated and/or lonely
  2. What can the community do to help seniors that are isolated and/or lonely

The notes have been scanned into images. Click here to download a .ZIP file (14 MegaBytes) containing 16 pages of round table notes.

Next Steps

We plan to engage with service providers to work collaboratively and to adopt best practices to help seniors that are suffering from isolation and loneliness. After the forum  7 service providers indicated that they will attend a follow-up meeting to work on meeting these objectives.
